So who is this Chris?

Dear visitor, my name is Chris. I am studying Digital Media and Design at ITU Copenhagen. As a part of my education I must do an online portfolio of my work here, and this is the result as yet. If you feel like it, I really would appreciate you commenting on the design and navigation of my portfolio here.

Let me write a few sentences describing myself. My life is too short for ironing clothes and watering flowers. That concept leaves me with creased clothes and dead flowers, but also a little sparetime. In that sparetime I enjoy cooking a nice meal or going for a run. Now and then I like spending my time modifying pictures in photoshop.

Also am I interested in technology (that just works [that might be why Apple is so much on my mind?]). I almost constantly listen to music, actually the only time I am not, is when I am at a lecture. Another media I enjoy is a bit more visual, movies. What I enjoy about movies is the art or even challenges that some movies creates about it self. Also about my religious conviction, I have one quote by Pierre-Simon Laplace I want to refer to: “I have no need of that hypothesis.”

I like to challenge the written language, so that explains the crankyness of some of my sentences. I also like to make up my own words like crankyness and portfoliation, but I will try keep that on a minimum.

A bit of history

History is always boring, but stories are not, so I will try to make my history into a story about me. At first I was country-bred, which I am really happy for, but then I got enough of living amongst animals and pretty nature far from friends and civilization. So when I turned sixteen and hair started grow right over my upper lip I decided to urbanize. I left my parents for a school in Grenaa called IT-College Denmark. Three years later I had a certificate telling I had graduated HTX and IT-College. I wanted to start my more advanced studies, but the desire for joining the military was too big. So dressed in helmet, boots and a rifle I was running around, shooting, in the danish forrests for the next four months. [PRIMETIME of my life so far]

My parents claim that it did a lot for me, I don’t feel the same way, but they are probably right like they always are. Now it was time for me to be serious again, and I picked an education that I thought was suitable for me. [It was not] That meant I had to complement my HTX exam with a course in social studies. In no time that was done and I found my self in the middle of lecture hall in Frederiksberg at Copenhagen Business School reading Business Communication and Economics. To sum up that education consists of two things: reading and reading. After realizing that was not the right thing for me, I felt a major relief and weeks later I started at ITU. In a class consisting of a great cocktail of reading, writing, filming and being creative, all in groups. I have always been interested in making websites and one of my hands-in in elementary school was a website. Now, eight years later, I find myself doing a post describing me on my portfolio as a part of my homework. Life is great!
